IPCOP m0n0wall is up an running. I finally managed to get ipcop up and going on a Hard Drive install. I spent a few frustrating hours dealing with SSH, winSCP, PuTTY, physdiskwrite, and mkflash and a handful of sketchy documentation trying to move things to Compact Flash. I finally just gave up and tried m0n0wall and was up and going in 10 minutes!

even though I had all the best hopes for this cool little old device I now remember why I relegated it to the junk bin. Not upgradeable, not hackable, No syncy with windows XP, no linux distro hacked to work. it’s, it’s… useless.
adding spell checking to abiword
oh the joys of xubuntu on my old lappy. but it just needed a slight nudge to check my very poor spelling in abiword. Ubuntu forums to the rescue sudo apt-get install aspell fixed the problem
